The Copernicus (Copernicus) Earth observation program is designed to provide accurate, up-to-date and easily accessible information to improve environmental management, understand and mitigate the effects of climate change and ensure citizen security.

The director of the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) and the director of the CEPM department, Vincent-Henri Peuch, in an interview with EFEVERDE explained that the observation of the Earth is “essential” because the analysis of the information obtained by Sentinel satellites of the Copernicus system “predicts the future effects of climate change”.
